Human Resources (HR) Director.

Description:
The HR Director is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources division within E&M Services and its subsidiary companies.  The HR Director reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, and supervise all activities relating to administration and maintenance of human resources activities within E&M Services and its subsidiary companies
• Review and make recommendations to senior management team for improvement to the organization’s policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters
• Develop and administer the policies necessary to assure compliance with all government regulations pertaining to the personnel function
• Maintain the employee handbook and make recommendations to management regarding needed changes in policies and/or procedures
• Work closely with the safety department to ensure the safety of E&M team members and compliance of all safety regulations
• Work closely with the accounting department in matters related to payroll and benefits administration
• Work closely with managers to oversee the recruitment and onboarding of E&M personnel, maintain a formal wage and salary program, address training needs, develop a retention program, and other personnel matters including, but not limited to: employee evaluations, policies, procedures, transfers, grievances, and discipline
• Advise senior management on unusual trends and personnel problems, conduct analysis, and prepare reports
• Develop and maintain human resource information system
• Consult with legal counsel as appropriate
• Answer routine questions regarding policies, benefits, and other HR issues
• Monitor unemployment and Workforce Safety claims by reviewing claims and responding as necessary
• Provide day-to-day management of HR staff
• Support the core values of E&M Services and contribute to team efforts

Qualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
• 5+ years of HR experience
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives

Preferred:

• 10+ years of HR experience
• PHR certification
